Nanoformulation Development: I have dedicated my doctoral studies to the development of advanced nanoformulations with theranostic capabilities, emphasizing their potential in cancer imaging and treatment. So far, I have worked with polymeric nanoparticles (chitosan, alginate, trimethyl chitosan, TPGS, redox sensitive polymer), micelles, liposomes, albumin nanoparticles, exosomes, and metallic nanoparticles (gold, silver, magnesium, and calcium). My research focuses on development of drug delivery system for breast cancer, apart from this, I have also worked for the development of drug delivery systems for breast cancer; apart from this, I have also worked on the development of drug delivery systems for infectious diseases (TB and wound) and cardiovascular diseases.
Animal handling skills: I am good in handling various laboratory animals for in vivo experiments, such as rat, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters etc. I have extensive expertise in animal dosing (intravenous, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, intradermal, oral, nasal etc), blood samples withdrawals, organ collections, disease model creation and performing in vivo preclinical studies.
Polymer synthesis; Pre and Post Conjugation: I have synthesized, Chitosan-g-Estrone, Chitosan-g-TPGS, Chitosan-Folate etc and their characterization by FTIR, NMR and MS/MS
Anticancer Studies: My research has involved conducting rigorous anticancer studies, enabling me to gain insights into the practical applications of novel pharmaceutical technologies. In-vitro anticancer studies, in-vivo tumour induction in mice and rats by chemical and xenograft method and in-vivo antitumour studies.
Laboratory Skills: I possess a wide range of laboratory skills, including probe sonication, lyophilization, UV spectroscopy, FTIR, DSC, TGA, XRD, HPLC, XPS, NMR, MS/MS. These skills have been instrumental in conducting precise experiments and ensuring data accuracy.
Analytical and Bioanalytical Method Development: I have developed analytical method development and validation for pure drug and formulation by HPLC. Additionally, developed validated bioanalytical methods for the quantification of the drug concentration in blood plasma samples for numerous drugs.
Imaging Studies: I am proficient in various imaging techniques, such as confocal microscopy, SEM, TEM, AFM, in-vivo optical imaging (IVIS) and Ultrasound/Photoacoustic (USG/PA) imaging. These skills have been crucial in characterizing nanomaterials and assessing their in-vivo performance.
Research software tools: I am proficient in acquisition, analysing and processing research data by using Design Expert, GraphPad Prism, Origin, ChemDraw, MestRenova, Endnote, PK Solver, Kinetica, JMP, M3Vision, CytExpert, VevoLab, LC Solution, NovaPx, Imagej, Opus, Cary WinUV, Biorender, Topspin, Leica etc.
Academic Writing and Documentation: I have honed my academic writing and documentation skills, resulting in the publication of research articles, review articles and book chapters. My ability to convey complex scientific findings clearly is an asset.
