"Abhishesh K. Kumar Mehata, drug delivery Expert and formulation scientist"

About me

Hello, and a warm welcome to you here! I am Abhishesh Kumar Mehata, a promising researcher with a unique blend of academic excellence, industrial experience, and a passion for scientific exploration. I am poised to make significant contributions to the field of nanomedicine, drug delivery, diagnosis, and cancer therapy.

I have completed my M. Pharm. and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, India. I have completed my M.Pharm. & Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. M.S. Muthu, a renowned scientist in the field of drug delivery and cancer theranostics.

My doctoral research project has centered on the “Development of targeted nanomedicine and nanotheranostics for breast cancer imaging and therapy.” Throughout my Ph.D. journey, I have gained a comprehensive range of technical and research skills. My area of expertise and interest includes the development of novel formulations for drug delivery, imaging, cancer biology, and theranostics, but is not limited to their in vitro characterization and in vivo evaluation in animal models, statistical analysis, and bioanalytical HPLC method development. I have extensive experience in the development of Polymeric NPs, Liquid crystal NPs, Solid lipid NPs, Liposomes, Cubosomes, Exosomes, Metallic NPs (Ag, Au, Ag-Au, Cus, etc.,) and ultrasmall fluorescent nanoclusters.  I have hands-on experience in handling experimental animals such as mice, rats, guinea pigs, etc., and in the development of breast tumors and lung tumors by carcinogenic and syngeneic methods.
